Civil Litigation: Those cases or causes of action which would require the filing of a civil lawsuit such
as Breach of Contract, Negligence or Personal Injury or where one requires defense in connection of such claims.
Business Law: Legal rules and principles bearing on business organizations and commercial matters. It regulates various forms of legal business entities, including sole proprietors, partnerships, registered companies with limited liability, agents, and multinational corporations. Nearly all statutory rules governing business organizations are intended to protect creditors or investors. In addition, specific bodies of law regulate commercial transactions, including the sale and carriage of goods (terms and conditions, specific performance, breach of contract, insurance, bills of lading), consumer credit agreements (letters of credit, loans, security, bankruptcy), and relations between employers and employees (wages, conditions of work, health and safety, fringe benefits, and trade unions). It is a broad and continually evolving field. This would include establishing corporations, partnerships and business agreements.
Family Law: Statutes, court decisions, and provisions of the federal and state constitutions that relate to family relationships, rights, duties, and finances. This includes representing clients in complex contested divorces and in negotiating separation and property settlement agreements, premarital or prenuptial agreements, post nuptial agreements and the modification of such claims.
Child Custody: The care, control, and maintenance of a child, which a court may award to one of the parents following a divorce or separation proceeding.
Land Use and Zoning: We navigate clients thru the regulatory maze such as appearances before public boards and in addressing land use, zoning, signage and landscaping issues.
Drafting Business Agreements: Language defining the terms and conditions of a legally binding contract between two parties, such as an extension of Credit or a Loan secured by Collateral for a business.
Establishment of Corporate Partnerships: A legal contract entered into by two or more persons in which each agrees to furnish a part of the capital and labor for a business enterprise, and by which each shares a fixed proportion of profits and losses.
Personal Injury: Wrongful conduct causing false arrest, invasion of privacy, libel, slander, defamation of character, and bodily injury. The injury is against the person in contrast to property damage or destruction.
Traffic Including DUI/Motor Vehicle Accidents: If you have received a traffic citation, you have been charged with a criminal offense. A conviction for a traffic ticket, even certain speeding tickets, can lead to drastic increases in your automobile insurance premiums and affect your driving history. This can, in turn, affect other aspects of your life such as employment. Many people do not realize the effect that simply pleading guilty or paying a ticket off at the clerk's office can have on their privilege to drive or to their insurance. Many people request the court to continue judgment, i.e. to grant them a "PJC", even when doing so is neither necessary nor wise, given their driving history.
Drug Cases: Drugs law operates within the wider context of criminal law. Rules governing detention and questioning in police stations, court procedure and other basic legal principles all apply to drugs cases.
Prenuptial Agreements: A type of contract created by two people before entering into marriage. This contract could outline each party's responsibilities and property rights for the duration of the marriage. More commonly, prenuptial agreements outline terms and conditions associated with dividing up financial assets and responsibilities if the marriage dissolves. We also assist those who, after marriage, require post marital agreements.
Child Support: Payment specifically designated for the purpose of child support (or treated as such) under a divorce or separation agreement. Such payments are neither deductible by the payer nor taxable to the payee.
